"Quickening Moon" FEBRUARY In February, the nights are cold and we begin to feel a bit of cabin fever. We're tired of being cooped up in the house, and there's a part of us that's just longing for a bit of warmth. This is the season of Imbolc, the days when we know that if we can just hold on for a few more weeks, we might get lucky and see little green shoots peeking out through the snow and slush. | My Fellow Aquarians...Not everyone has drama like we do. That's beause we're too busy hoggin it all up! We may look fairly normal but in fact there are Alien brains inside...Sometimes we don't answer when spoken to. We're too wrapped up in our Alien-to-Self dialog and can't be bothered with mere earthlings. We would make great psych. studies because we already march to the sound of one hand clapping. We can be driven, determined ruthless zealots and most of us are in fact quite insane and ok with that! Of course, people regard us as being airheads and dense..whatever, it's ok because we never notice. If you are talking to an Aquarian and he or she zones out, consider the conversation so over! We also like astronomy because we've been to all those places. If you want to know what the food is like on Saturn, ask an Aquarius. Aquarians travel out-of-body on a daily basis. | Ingredients: 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1/4 cup butter 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix 1/2 cup white wine 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chix soup 4 ounces cream cheese with chives 1 pound angel hair pasta |
Directions: 1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2.In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in the package of dressing mix. Blend in wine and golden mushroom soup. Mix in cream cheese, and stir until smooth. Heat through, but do not boil. Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour sauce over. 3.Bake for 60 minutes in the preheated oven. Twenty minutes before the chicken is done, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain. Serve chicken and sauce over pasta. |

| Directions 1.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/4 cup butter, 1/3 cup cream, eggs, salt, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the strawberries to the batter and fold gently to coat. 2.Heat the oil in a large heavy pot over medium-high heat to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C). 3.Meanwhile, make the chocolate sauce by combining the chocolate chips, 3 tablespoons butter, vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup cream in a microwave-safe dish. Place in the microwave and cook on medium heat stirring every 30 seconds until the chocolate chips are melted and the chocolate sauce is smooth. Set the dish on a kitchen towel and cover to keep warm. 4.Working in batches, carefully drop the batter-coated strawberries into the hot oil until the batter is golden brown, flip the strawberries to brown sides evenly. Remove the cooked strawberry fritters and place on paper towels to drain. Dust with confectioners' sugar and drizzle with chocolate sauce to serve. Serve remaining chocolate sauce on the side. |
